%X The current configuration of the Main River Canal Jacaraípe, Serra Espírito Sanot is the result of the dynamic process of change of man toward nature, causing changes in their natural water course. The GIS can be understood as the use of techniques and technologies related to geosciences and related development research in action planning, management processes, management and analysis, and has a set of techniques and efficient tools for the complete understanding of anthropogenic induced changes in the natural environment. It can be stated that the use of GIS techniques in the analysis of changes in river channels is something essential and necessary in contemporary society. For realization of this article were used raster type information plans and the type vector available free in electronic sites, which favored and streamlined work. Another key point was the use of free computer application, KOSMO GIS. Thus, it was possible to detect nine anthropic changes in the channel that profoundly transformed the reality, creating a new, showing the geoprocessing efficiency in this analysis. It can be said that the joint use of geotechnology with the analysis in fluvial environment with the objective of analyzing the changes in channels is a fundamental methodology in the integrated vision of nature with a focus on maintenance and preservation.
